First Play
Once your music is imported, you're ready to play your first track. This section explains how to start playback and use basic controls.
Starting Playback
To begin playing music:
- Go to your Library.
- Find a song you'd like to play.
- Double-click the song, or select it and press the Play button.
The song will begin playing immediately, and the Now Playing area will update with track details.
Playback Controls
You can control playback using the control bar at the bottom of the app:
- Play / Pause – Start or stop the current track.
- Next / Previous – Skip to the next track or go back.
- Seek Bar – Drag the progress bar to jump to any point in the song.
- Volume – Adjust the volume using the slider.
Keyboard shortcuts can be used for all of these actions. You can customize them in Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts.
Playback Modes
The software supports various playback modes:
Repeat
- Repeat One: Repeats the current track.
- Repeat All: Loops the entire playlist or library.
Shuffle
When shuffle is enabled, the app will randomly select the next track to play.
You can toggle shuffle and repeat using the buttons next to the playback controls.
Now Playing Section
This section displays:
- Current track name, artist, and album
- Album artwork (if available)
- Elapsed and remaining time
Clicking the album cover will open a detailed view of the track.
Track Queue
The queue shows upcoming songs:
- You can reorder tracks in the queue.
- Drag tracks into the queue manually or right-click a song and choose Add to Queue.
Troubleshooting
If playback doesn't work:
- Make sure your audio output is properly selected in Settings > Audio Devices.
- Try restarting the app if audio drivers were updated recently.
- Check that the track is not corrupted or empty.
